Staff Development Program Outline

The objectives of staff development programs are to recruit, retain and motivate staff. This results in increased organizational performance. The staff development program is based on the following:

Review the New Employees' First 90 Days
The first 90 days on the job are critical for establishing a motivational environment for the new employee. The training and orientation process is reviewed in-depth.

Staff Interviews
A questionnaire is developed and staff are interviewed to gather data which is used to form new programs and better understand what motivates the staff.

Brainstorming Sessions for Management
The questionnaire is reviewed in detail with management and creative solutions are provided. The importance of leadership, profit sharing and valuing employees is discussed with managers.

Self-Development and Motivational Training Sessions
The following areas are discussed with the employees in an open-forum, facilitated discussion:
